help with tape holder

does anybody know how to take the tape holder out, i know there is a screw in the back of it and i took that out but it still dont wanna come off

And now, the answer you didn't want to hear. It doesn't. There's a bolt in the back which is for removing the entire console. The tape holder itself is held on by a melted plastic tab (or maybe more than one, can't remember) under the console, so it's literally melted to the rest of the console.

but if i take a screw drever and pop it off will it hurt the rest of the counsole?

Nope, not at all. You can then cover that piece with a piece of carpet or something, and it should look decent. Or, you can always upgrade to the 98+ console like I did.

well after your first post i got impatint an grabed it and riped it off. actualy what im gonna do is put a eqalizer were that is. the transformatin is starting and i said i was gona keep it secret well im not i will post some pics later when i get the car back together.

and i also know my gaudges suck and i plan on geting new ones i just baught them because i like the pod and i wanted somthing diffrent than the pillar pod because everybody and there brother has one.

i am going to put a equlizer at the botom were the tape holder was conected.

just don't hook the eq up please I hate when people destroy a good sound system with one (a good eq qon't fit there since it needs to do at least 32 bands, the small ones just boost frequencies and kill sound quality, the ones built into the radio are better)

my radio dont have one.
just about the only reason i want one is so i can control the sub

then get a bass processor (just one little knob that shows)most (read anything but the lowest end) after market radios have a built in eq (that's what those little settings that say things like tight, flat, or pop are)

those are an eq, they just take the stupid factor out, I know very few people who can set an eq by ear (all are sq judges)look at the cars that compete, if they have an eq it's a 32 band, and is set once with an rta.I use a crossover and my ears (I have been an sq judge)I've never been able to get a small eq to sound right

My tape holder comes in handy..I currently have a pen and my tape for my fractured finger in there..see..its useful!
