Now, I'd be more interested in tailights that were a little more "normal" looking...like those OEM export taillights. I just don't want to pay $150-200 each.

Anyone had any legal problems with Nightshade on taillights? I was nervous enough about my parking lights.

I've had nightshade on my taillights, turn signals, and rear reflectors and haven't had any problems yet -- the taillights light up perfectly bright.

          What kinda trouble you thinking?
          ...Police trouble?
          ...Girl touble?

Maybe a couple thin coats won't be too bad. I'd like to get a cheap set of OEMs to play with. I'll keep an eye on Ebay.

            girl trouble? lol

police watch all black cars more than anything else. (well they watch red sports car too) especially if your taillights are black, do you have tinted window too?

No window tint; just stock tint all around.
The only thing I have going for me is my age... I don't attract trouble like I used to.

In all honesty, I think you might get away with it more than I would, I would find it hard to believe the cops would hassle you over it. A few thing coats of nightshades will bring it to a slightly tinted look, reminiscent of Grand Am/Prix taillights that seem to be slightly tinted. I have about 10 coats on my taillights.
