i would suggest springs but u didnt state what lift this cam is and i really dont feel like going and looking it up. also the duration what is it.

my cam is comp cams part 12678-4
my springs can withstand a lift over .610

what do u plan on making with this motor? and i plan on putting 1000 on my car in one week once i get the motor back together. luckily ur not much of a racer eh? i dont plan onr ebuilding this winter AGAIN, so im doing it right.

yes stock heads, many people run this cam on stock heads. its like the biggest cam you can run through a completely stock head. (people are clicking off low 12's high 11's with boltons, stock heads, and this cam.)

yeah i would say get a set of heads to go with it. thats alot of lift for the stock heads to flow whats the duration on it? it might be to much but it will still work. but u wont be getting hte full benifit quite possibly from the cam and rockers.
my cam is matching almost perfect with my intake, and pretty damn near with my heads. i could use a port and polish and a larger cam and larger valves next season but hey. ill settle for 11's

I don't know if those retiners have the quality of the ones for teh gp, but I wouldn't use them. There have been at least 2 gp engine failures from the machining, and at least 2 people had visible differences (comp doesn't make them they buy them from someone else who evidently can't run a machine)
