z28 rear end in a v6?

iv seen a couple of thing on the enternet on swapin out a v6 rear end with a z28 rear end and i was wondering what people would do that for other than the disk brakes (gears or what)?

(most v6s have drumb brakes in the rear) if you didnt know.

Very true, my friend's dad had a 02 V6 maro that we literally beat the complete piss out of. Left a lot of black marks and almost all where one wheelers. P.S. don't buy leased cars.

lol. yeah i went form the peg leg to the two liner 3.42 lsd out of a m6 trans am. its for the gears normally but u get worse gears out of an automatic car, as they were 2.73 rear gears with a posi. i got a 3.42 lsd out of a 94 ta with 80k on it but the funny thing is the rear axle is mint on the inside doesnt grind or nething the teeth are all fine. i paid 80 bux. lol. its for the disc breaks gears and differential that they swap to the v8 axle. its cheaper then buying a new axle. if i was to buy a new rear end it would be a 9 inch moser rear axle. 2500 after everything vs 80 for now and if i strip the gears i can get them for free from almost neone.

yeh i was thinkin about doing it cause i plan on geting different rims kinda like the ones that 97rs4life has and i want the disk brakes cause the stupid drumbs would look like crap.

yup not a problem. If you are looking for one though, make sure you get one that is non tcs if you car doesn't have it or vise versa

m ake sure ur getting the right abs theres 3 channel and 4 channel. i dont use my abs so i didnt care.
