  • Fibreglass Fender Repairs?

I just received the replacement passenger fender for my bird and I noticed it is damaged. I want to know if these flaws can be fixed, or whether I should contact the seller for a refund. I paid $125 shipped for this. Let me know what you think it will cost to fix this fender...

    Can it be fixed? Sure.

Last time I quoted fiberglass repair, it was running $100 an inch before paint.

    I'd ask for a replacement...

I got my replacement fender off ebay brand new for $75. Sucks to hear you had to pay that much for a damaged one. But is it really noticable? In the pic, it doesn't look like it'd even be noticable.

yea you should get a different one. You can fix it but anytime you fix fiberglass it comes back. Its always shifting you know.

I would confront the seller. And you need to be more careful buying things on ebay. I always ask questions about the items and keep the emails so that I can fall back on them later. If they sell you something that isn't what was in the auction ebay has the buyer protection program.

GET your money back for sure.
It is fixable but that would take some work with that chunk missing

I repaired a fender on the camaro. Jb weld with some backing worked. I used some touchup and it worked out ok. Lot of work though, he should refund you.

Ok I got home and for some reason at Oakland University, only a few of those pics were showing up, not all of them. Now that I see all the pics, that DEFINITELY sucks! At OU, the only ones that were showing up was the chunk missing around a screw hole on the inside, didn't see the crack and all that.
