What do you guys think the best setup is to run on an LT1 camaro/'bird? What sounds the best and what gives the best gains? I know LT's, ORY, and cat back but what brands?

I bought all MAC when I had my exhaust done, but If I were to do it again I think you could find something nicer for the same price. The Chevy Camaro was built with a single purpose in mind which it executes flawlessly...Going very very fast in a straight line until your hair catches on fire.

What issues do you have with the MAC, I was looking at the kit and they claim they have good performance and plug access, is that not true?Originally posted by YoshiBearI bought all MAC when I had my exhaust done, but If I were to do it again I think you could find something nicer for the same price.

MAC what? Shorties, LT's, or mids? Isn't mac the only one to make mids?Originally posted by YoshiBearI bought all MAC when I had my exhaust done, but If I were to do it again I think you could find something nicer for the same price.
I want longtubes for sure. I'm just asking advice on brands because of durability and plug access.2005 Yamaha R6

My setup:
-Pacesetter LTs (very happy with so far)
-custom offroad y-pipe
-DMH e-cutout (best $300 ive spent on the car)
-SLP 20TL (looks like shit, sounds awesome)
Open cutout clips:

Exhaust soundclip: (closed and open cutout):

Compilation: (all open cutout, some stock manifolds, some headers with cats, some headers no cats)

should give you an idea although the camera doesnt really do the actual sound any justice.
my car would definitely sound better with true duals, but I love the flexibility of my cutout. I can go from louder than true duals, to a very tame, yet still audible exhaust at the touch of a button

I have Hooker LT's with an ORY and 3" pipe back to a 80 series Flowmaster and no Cats on my LT-1 383 and I love the sound.
Nice deep sound
