Dome light bulb ????

The guy who put my alarm on said I needed a new bulb for my back dome light because the inside is suppose to be lighting up if someone hit my car and what ever...So I i went to Autozone..picked up #906..about to install it..and I was just puzzled on how to put the bulb in ...I know how to install bulbs im not retarded but this just confused the hell out of me..

From the looks of it I might be missing a certain pice for the dome light in the back or its not the right size even though it is


Im thinking it should be this kind of bulb

Anyoen with a 94 could take some pics of the dome light in the back with out the lens on or help me out here =\

you got a dome lamp, that's not a dome light, it's a courtesy light.what you got probably looks like the second pic, what you want should be the first one a 562

The guy from autozone assured me this is the correct bulb he gave me. Well time to go to the store and pick it up.

Ok just got back...put the bulb in..all doors were closed..and the sucker was still on..came back home opened closed all doors and my drunk..it still was lit..so I wanted to take it out dont want my battery to die and that sucker was hot, I mean it was only on for about 4 min tops..dont know what its still on.. I better go take it out with a cloth or something.

I think its my passenger door..because I just armed my alarm and on the 2way remote, it showed my passenger door icon was blinking as if someone just opened it ya know..I think that is the problem.

yea make sure that door is shut good. My lights stay on for a little bit after I lock it but then go off after a little bit. Yours just stays on completely though?

Yup..stayed on for the entire ride...I dont know whats up with my door...it is shut completely and it stayed on.I even pushed that little button thing by the door (you know when you usually push it a light goes out or whatever) Nothing still stayed on


I think I will have the mechanic peepz take a look at it when I get my new engine put in this week, unless I find out the problem before hand.

is there a sensor that maybe was damaged or something from the alarm? Like the pass. door sensor? Or one of the sensors could be faulty

'94 the little button thing is supposed to ground when teh door's closed, but it's plastic, pull it and short it to ground see if it goes out, if so replace it

Oh right now I replaced the engine with the same one that was previously in there..a 3.4..will upgrade to a v8 when I get older and insurance goes down, probably even get a 8 or a 99 when I get the $$

I hear that, but insurance company don't need to know you upgraded, they will never find out I slipped from a V6 to a V8. I just need the money
