F-Body FAQ's

Maybe many of you have seen this sight before but I hadn't, lots of good information. (I also posted this in the F-Body article section)

I found this while looking for information on the F1 Performance Package that was available through the dealer back in the 90's. I've never seen one of these cars in person, does anybody on here have one?

Woman I used to work with back in 97 and her husband bought a new 30th anniversary Z that had the dealer installed F1 package on it. I think it was the full appearance/cold air/exhaust package. I wish I knew where that car was today. It only needed the Houndstooth inserts and a stick to be perfect.

i'm thinking that will become my new obsession, trying to find one! one of the F1 options was a hurst shifter (at least thats what I understand).. :reidneer2:

Hmm...I ran into the guy that claimed he was the previous owner of my Z ( I bought her from a used car lot ) and he told me the car came with the 1LE package but I never bothered to check it against the VIN number since most of the stuff that came with it was replaced by the time I had the car, minus the larger sway bars ( thats if the guy wasnt full of it )

And would I be wrong in calling my Z a 30th anny edition since it doesnt have the paint job? It has the 30th emblems pressed into the seats so...

all 97's are 30th anniversaries. not all are 'editions.' the anniversary edition package came with white paint and wheels, and orange stripes.
