Gassy smell.

Yea I'm not the smartest person when it comes to cars but I can hold my own 8) ,

Anyways, everytime I drive I am smelling gas, windows rolled up, and down..When I am accelerating you can kind of smell it , when I break BAM the smell just gets to your head!!! I dont think I have no leaks? Dont know whats up...anyone know

Make sure you put your gas cap on right. Also, make sure it's the correct gas cap! When I bought mine, for some reason or another they had switched gas caps and it was an un-vented gas cap. Apparently, our tanks were made for the vented caps. Mine used to leak ALL THE TIME. Switched to a vented gas cap, and tada no more leaks and no more smell.

Probably isn't that, but hey worth a shot to check.

Its not the gas cap that came with the car, the gas cap that came with the car is in my little tool box in my trunk. I went to auto zone to get a locking gas cap because when I owned my 89 Camaro (this happened about 3 1/2 weeks ago) my car was acting weird and it was sort of jumping between 10-20+ mph..took it into theshop and the guy said someone put something into my gas tank and messed up stuff up so..Didnt want to take the risk again.

may be running really rich, locking gas caps are a joke they don't seal completely, and most can be bypassed if someone really wants to do something (the only thing that someone could put in that would effect teh way the car runs is liquid by the way, water can be from a gas station if they left the lid off for any time while it was raining) Has it always done that, or did it start recently?

Well when I 1st bought the car like 3 weeks ago..I noticed it like the 3rd day I was driving it.

Also make sure its the car with the gassy smell and not you.....LOl ok j/k

you got it from a dealer?If so take it in and have them fix it

Yea I just dropped it off at the shop to get some power lock motors,my driver side door fixed (so I can unlock it from there) and a tune up

i used to get hte same with my v6 and now with the eight its an unburned gass smell from the collectors not being welded up so mines exhaust f umes. now before it was just gas ive always had that with it.

Your exhaust manifold could be coroding away.... my bros F-150 had a gas smell when that happened
