Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

I'm considering selling my '02 Camaro SS this Spring. It has 52k miles on it, auto. trans, dark gray leather, t-tops, power everything. The mods are GMMG catback, SLP lid, smooth bellow, K&N air filter, drilled/slotted brakes, poly links/bushings and a Frost tune. It is in excellent condition, no damage inside or out. Never wrecked, 1 owner car. Tires have approx. 50% tread, no known issues. I can see what the books say, just looking for opinions on the "real" value. Thanks.
Nice car! You won't get anywhere near its true value on a forum. It doesn't hurt to post it here, and certainly on others, but eBay is probably where you stand the best chance. I'd value your ride somewhere around $17000. It will take patience and the right buyer though. Most on the forums will make offers $3000 less than that.
Good luck on your decision!

Mods: Fikse Profil 10, GTP stage 2 heads, TR227 cam, Kooks 1 3/4 headers with ORY, Corsa catback, SLP Blackwing lid, SLP smooth bellows, Thunder Racing CNC ported stock throttle body, BG Ram Air, GM 4.10's in 10 bolt, B&M Ripper shifter, ATI 25% UD Super Damper, BMR Suspension, Tuned by Dr. Phil
Thank you for the input! Be like a dream come true to get $17000 for it...not keeping my hopes up though.
You can get close. I'd value a similar WS6 at $19,000. The auto trans hurts the value a bit, but it's a clean car with the right interior. Again though, it does take the right buyer. eBay is the best shot at getting near that.

That's a tough call...all depends on if you can locate the right buyer and how patient you're willing to be.
I think I overpaid a bit on mine, but I was pretty well set in what I wanted - it had to be a convertible, SS, M6 in Pewter. Hopefully you'll find a buyer willing to pay a premium because they have to have a clean, low mileage SOM vehicle.
It's a ridiculously beautiful vehicle! I absolutely love SOM.
PS - I've owned a SOM Z28 A4 with similar mileage and it didn't do as well as I thought it would. Automatics are a killer on value. I gave away a 40,000mi A4 SS a while back. I'm not buying any more A4s unless the price is very attractive. People want 6-speeds. At least the ones willing to pay good money do.
I agree with Jason. I just sold our stock '01 SS M6 w/ 41,000 miles for $13,500. An A4 w/ that mileage will get under 10K. Not trying to be offensive, just being realistic.
Wow, quite a range...$9000-$17000. I guess that's why I asked. Book on it shows $11,100 (NADA). To the guys who have sold similar rides, those numbers show me what most are willing to pay. No way I let it go that cheap. Wouldn't even sell it for book price. So, I guess I either hang onto it, or be patient and wait for the right buyer.
I do this for a living. The highest sale price for an A4 SS I've ever had in the last 3 years was $15,500 and that had 14,000 miles.
Fwiw I paid $9500 for my 02 M6 SOM with 41k on it locally. It did have a wheel bearing in the rear that was going but otherwise in excellent shape. Granted not an SS but I also feel my price was about as high as you could go riding on the color alone but I paid it to avoid the hassle of traveling to find something else as clean. The fact that yours is an SS helps but the real money-getter is the T56.
Hate to say it but I'd keep it. Sounds like a beautiful ride!
Exactly why I said eBay, folks on forums always err on the light side of things. I agree the A4 hurts a bit, but SOM in my experience will always bring more than the other colors, for the same reason you mentioned the light blue color you had. You will have to be patient though, and advertise in a lot of places.

I would definitely at least start listing on the high side of the spectrum, and if you choose to lower the price or take a lesser offer, at least you feel better about trying for max value.

Seems like his heart may be with the bright blue metallic one though. That's kind of the same situation I was in a while back. I bought a new 2002 SOM WS6 back in late 2001, and sold it a few years late when getting married. Through moves, changing jobs, buying a house, and having kids, it took 10 years for me to get another one. That car always held a special place in my heart, so while I could have had another color for less, or perhaps even a newer faster car, this one means more to me than any of those would. If that's how you feel about the BBM camaro, get as much as you can for this one, and work towards finding that one.
