Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

i don't remember the exact time, but i remember in an older GMHTP magazine, some dude took a bone stock SS (6 speed car) with a shitty old air filter and all and street treads went in the 12's...i wanna say like 12.6 or 12.7...something pretty impressive like that
LT1's are slow stock. Low 14's for most with a FEW in the high 13's stock. My car bone stock ran a best of 13.008 but with my new Toyos and 3pt SFC's and STB, and cutout airbox ran a 12.98. Stock with just MT drag radials last fall I pulled a best of 12.69.

the best time i ran with mine very close to bone stock was 14.5. However I wasnt very good at driving and i know I could get that down to AT LEAST 14.2 if i could do it again today.
After doing headers on my car i believe that the terrible stock manifolds are the reason they are considered "slow." My LT1 would run out of steam around 4800 rpm with the stock manifolds. They simple get choked out in high rpms. I would never shift my car above 5k because there was no reason to spin the motor that high if the power wasnt there. Now that I have full length headers, I ran a best of 13.69 even with cats. I beat a a4 C5 vette as well as a GTO without much of a problem. Now that i cut the cats itll probably be a bit quicker yet. Ill have to see in the spring. The car pulls right up to the rev limiter now.
Also, my car seems to be dead even with lid/catback LS1 cars, at least from a roll. I still havent perfected launching my spec 3 yet.

With just a flowmaster cat back and an amazing 2.4 second 60' time I managed to run a 14.5 second 1/4 mile. It was my first time to the track so dont pick on me. After doing my mods I improved my time to 13.9 seconds with a 2.2 second 60' time. I'd say with a set of drags slicks she could have easily pulled a high 13 stock and mid 13 with my mods.
