  • Has anyone replaced their filler neck?

The filler neck on my tank is pretty bent up from previous tank removals.
I see that Advance Auto carries replacement fuller necks but wasn't sure what is involved in doing so.

    Thanks!

I haven't messed with an steel 4th gen fuel tanks.
Usually the neck is soldered to the container. The plastic 4th gen have a rubber flex line. I have a 4th gen plastic tank if that is any help.

I don't think that I will be able use a plastic tank, as I already have the Racetronix setup for an LT1 car.
I think I'd need an LS pump housing and pump assembly to swap tanks.
        I appreciate the offer though!

I seem to recall that you could get an entire brand new tank with filler neck for like $125 off of eBay? Might be the route to go.

Well it's definitely possible, I need to set the tank under the car and mount it to determine where I want the neck, make a few marks to help keep the alignment I want, then solder the new neck in.
