so i picked up a 1998 Z28 with 165k on it, well at ecorse rd in between inkster and middlebelt rd i jumped on it alittle hard to go around a semi and i bounced it off the rev limiter a few times, and it spun a bearing, so i pulled the 5.7l out of it and im swapping in a 5.3l that im in the middle of rebuilding, as most im on a budget, but ive got a few grand into the project already,

But, i need some help from my guys who have rebuilt the ls1 and or done a 5.3l swap into an ls car, i cant figure out what way the motor mounts go back on, and im in need of a good ls1 flexplate for an auto car ( most mix up flexplate and flywheel)

im almost finished with the build and im hoping that i built this motor right, its my first ls1 car, but ive rebuilt motors before..

so what i need help with is the motor mounts and what way they go on the block, if anyone has pics of taking apart or re-installing the front drive system on their lsx i would love to see them, once i charge my phone ill post up some progress pics,

also does anyone know how to plug the holes on the quarters when you remove the RS spoiler? i dont want to weld them cause im dealing with the motor right now,

I think i have a flexplate you can have free if you want to swing up to Lansing. I'll dig through my bin of stuff waiting to go to scrap, i think i have one that came on my motor when i got it but i pulled it because i've got a t56.

Is the blue Camaro the one that was on sale on CL? LT1 with 98-02 front end conversion?

Well the motor is In and I'm waiting on a few things to get it turn key,

I need a external trans cooler, truck plug wires (those are in the mail) top off the trans fluid I lost in the swap, fill it up with coolant, and double check my connections then start it. Hopefully all goes well.
