I have a abs inop light on. It doesn't come on right away, it waits till I have used my brakes a couple times. Once its on, its on till the next time I start it up. No stored codes. this is on my ls converted 94 z 28. Any thoughts on where to start looking? master cyl is full no apparent leaks. Still feels like it stopping ok.

I have the same issue, but it rarely comes on. My guess is abs sensor.
Do you have LS brakes on all four wheels?

apparently I would need to access the module through the old obd port. the new obd II port doesn't have access to the module.

Anyways I bled the brakes and gave everything a once over. I did get a couple of small bubbles, don't know if that would set a code or not. I will drive it to work and report back on it.

My park avenue did the same thing.. ABS light on with no real breaking loss.. Ended up being the front ABS sensor.. and it wasn't cheap.

From what I've learned, air in the lines will set the brake light.. I forgot what it was called...

I used to have the same problem on my 95 Z28.
try unplugging the the electrical connectors near the hubs on the front wheels.
sometimes dirt and corrosion builds up.

in my case, I just cleaned the contacts and the light never came on again.

If you can't fix it, just pull the light out of the dash

Thanks for all the help guys. Looks like it was either air or a dirty connection. I didn't do a lot other than bleed and unplug replug in the front. so far no more light.

I had to re-seat the connectors on my 98 as well.
