Hawk HPS brakes

Just changed my brakes over from stock type stuff to new Bendix (stock type) rotors and Hawk HPS pads. Had to make a hard stop when a light changed unexpectedly and I was impressed by the stopping power. Also I am getting about 20% of the brake dust I used to get from my old pads. Two thumbs up!

Agreed, I have those pads on my first gen and they're outstanding.

I didnt like mine at first because they squeaked and dusted quite a bit but over time my mind is changed. the stopping power is there even with crappy LT1 calipers and in 5 years time my pads and rotors still look brand new. The rotor surface typically develops grooves mine have an even reflection like new. Will definitely buy them again.

Love my HPS pads...I've had them since...I want to say 2010...they still have plenty of life left, and stop great - hardly any dust either! My brake fluid on the other hand...

Hawk makes awesome products. I run their HPS pads on my DDs and have their HP+ on my Firebird. between the crazy pad compound and having the CTS-V brakes if just about peels your face off if you mash the pedal.

Have to agree and if you do the braided brake lines (replace rubber ones) the brakes are even firmer. Really noticed the difference at the end of the track

I have hps on the front with some replacement rotors - I can grab the 1st turnoff at the motorplex after going thru the traps @ 130+

I wasn't impressed with Hawk Ceramics, but the HPS pads were a nice upgrade on my DD Jimmy with PowerSlot rotors. I wore through the HPS and went with their ceramic, killed my expensive rotors. I will say the HPS pads put out a decent amount of dust but that's expected with slotted rotors.
