  • rear brakes question

Did my front brakes (new rotors and Hawk HPS pads) yesterday and went to do my rears today. got the wheels off and went to undo the top caliper bolt to get the old pads out. It just turned like it was the pin. Didn't have time to mess around with it, so just put wheels back on.
Afterwards I was thinking maybe the lower bolt would release the caliper. Looked in the FSM and it says it is the upper bolt. Is it possible that whoever did the brakes last time switched the caliper brackets and calipers side to side? Or is there something else I am over looking?
When in doubt, Whip it out !

The rears should come off the same as the front. Check out this old site for clarification:

You man need to put a 5/8 /16mm wrench on the pin to keep it from turning.
