Im starting my build thread a bit late, but heres what I have going on so far. A 355 lt1 that ill be running nitrous with. Stock crank witch forged scat rods and weisco pistons, with a miloden windage tray. Set the 10 bolt up with a set of 4.10s until i can afford a ford 9. Im runnning lloyds le2 heads with a lunatti 231/239 .571/.587 110 LSA cam. I picked up a built T56 from scholtmj.

Any particular reason your target compression is only 11:1? I would do more personally. Reverse cooled aluminum heads can handle it. Otherwise, sounds like this setup should run quite good!-Joel

if the engine is out of the car I certainly would. My setup is impala head gaskets and heads shaved .020, which puts my compression in the mid 11s. And all said and done I didnt even have any spark knock when the car was untuned, which means i could have probably pushed to 12:1 and still been fine.
Edit: were you asking about zero decking the block or shaving the heads?Last edited by JoeliusZ28; December 22nd, 2014, 12:33 AM.-Joel

Ok most people shave the heads instead but either will work. Ptv clearance should still be fine-Joel

You'll be fine. .. will just give you a little larger tuning window.
Don't take it apart. No reason to gain a half or so point in static compression for tearing down a motor. If it was like 9 to 1 I would

Sorry for the delay on updates but i've been busy with school starting back up. I got my manual pedals in and clutch master cylinder, along with removing all the auto junk from inside the car. Heres a couple new pictures.

I picked up a 58MM Holley throttle body for a great price. Polished the piece from the old throttle body, turned out great.

I really like how the LPP Stainless headers and Y-Pipe turned out.
