Michigan is one of the few states that does NOT have emission. But I do remember EPA rank Detroit metro one of the worst on its air quality scorecard. Most states now use OBD II emission, so you can't really cheat either.

Your 95' don't need the sims, due to the fact that a 95' doesn't monitor like an OBDII it only has the OBDII plug under the dash due to changeover that soon followed. The throttle body coolant bypass don't hurt.Removing the mass screen is B.S. and porting the mass ends is not a good idea either. When mine was stock it actually ran worse at an idle with the above mentioned mods and mad no difference on top end.Hope this helps a little.Last edited by 1Quick95; November 15th, 2006, 05:13 AM.

the most popular free mod for the LT1 is the throttle body bypass and i recommend you do it. From the factory radiator coolant flows through the TB - with intention of keeping the TB from freezing in the winter. Unless you drive the car in below zero conditions frequently it wont be a problem. ive never heard of anyone actually having a problem from doing it.-Joel

high flow cats arnt too expensive... when my cat got clogged on my grand prix a replacement was like 120 bucks... but they had a universal high flow 3 inch cat for 45 bucks at autozone... very little restriction... and made a hell of a differance... then again the stock cat had about a penicil size hole in it to flow so im not sure how great it was but for the price... and even the improved sound of the exhuast flow it was worth the money...Originally posted by Frank The TankTook the restrictor plate off to give the Red Dragon a little more juice. But it's not exactly street legal, so keep it on the down low.

TB By-pass
On the pass. side of the motor there is a steel line mounted to the intake coming from the rear crossover pipe,This line goes into the throttle body on the side and comes out on the other. All you really do is unhook both lines from the TB and connect them together to bypass the TB.You will need like two clamps and a barb fitting. This mod I think works because we all know cooler inlet air makes more power.I just don't think the mass mods. do much.Total cost to do is prolly like 3 bucks and only takes about a half hour.I also recommend putting a rag under the TB to catch the coolant. You don't really want to get the opti wet.I had problems with mine so I get a little sketchy with them.
