  • The camaro that keeps surprising...mods or rigged?

Ok after doing more inspecting today I have questions. Pic 1, what the hell is that box wired to my air intake? Pic 2, why are there wires coming out of my tranny? Supposed shift kit? Pic 3, what is this sensor for? Supposed to only have 1 wire going into it, or is that clipped write at the harness the 2nd wire? Pic 4, something is clearly missing here, what is it? Pic 5, where is this power steering fluid leading from? Its dry at the reservoir.uploadfromtaptalk1407458868071.jpguploadfromtaptalk1407458893856.jpguploadfromtaptalk1407458994463.jpguploadfromtaptalk1407459088619.jpg

#1 - Looks to be one of those cheap "IAT mod boxes" that don't work.

#2 - Not a clue what I'm looking at. Where do the wires come from and where are they going will tell you a lot.

#3 - Coolant temp sender for instrument cluster, NOT the PCM. Often single wire on older cars.

    #4 - Missing airdam.

#5 - Your entire undercarriage is oil soaked. What makes you believe it's your power steering?

      #1-thanks, thought so
#2-wires are going into the tranny where the driveshaft connects.
#3-thanks, explains why my temp hits like 230 at highway speeds.
#4-I have to keep refilling the ps fluid. Oil seems full still.

Thanks a bunch for the help!

the clamp on your steering boot is off wouldnt cause loss of fluid though, judging by the odd zipties and silicone id say someone didnt do something right in that location.

Old hoses will weep, but that's a ton fluid across the entire undercarriage.

Degrease everything and get some UV dye and black light.

I'll do that, gotta be a line leaking. Completely lost on the wires coming from the tranny!
