  • PowderCoater in the Grand Rapids area

Hey guys- I just picked up another set of 17" WS6 wheels that I'd like to get powdercoated white. Are there any recommendations of who to use for this in the GR area??

I think Magnum on West River Drive is doing small job/custom coating again. I've used Michigan Coating Services in Greenville a few times.

Thanks Mike. Yeah I saw Magnum, and thought I'd give them a call. Does or will Michigan Coating Services do wheels? Have you been satisfied with they're work?

        Whoops, got the name wrong.

Yes, I was satisfied with the work. I had my old dirtbike frame blasted and coated for $80 years ago, not sure if prices have gone up though. They had a many photos of work they have done - hot rods, motorcycles, sandrails, etc.

I doubt they would have any problems with wheels.

APEC / West Michigan Powder Coating in Lake Odessa did my wheels. Loved them, they came out great. They were also quite affordable.

It's hit or miss with Magnum. They stopped doing custom work last year. But they told me last time I picked up some parts from them that they will still do some stuff on a custom basis depending on their work load. Their quality has always been top notch for everything I have had them do for me.

Just got off the phone with Magnum, sounds like they will still do custom work. Dropping of the wheels next week.

Just for a point of reference here's a pic of the wheels as they sit currently...........
