Well I got it running. Finally.. I dont know what it is but those 2 wires are the reason my car is not running. I currently have both wires jumped and the car is running better than it ever has since bought it a year ago. Now I need to know where or why these 2 wires are not getting the power to the computer.

If I camt figure it out ill end up cutting the 2 wires and solder a new wire and run the ignition 12v source off a toggle switch and make a new constant 12v source for the other.

Anyone know? I did jump the wires to take it down the road and now it doesnt have 1st or 4th gear. Im assuming because it sat fpr a few months not moved.

Shift solenoid A. Check your wiring, if it's all good then drop the pan and try a new solenoid.

Just replace them with AC Delco solenoids. Might as well do both while you're in there, a pair should cost a little over 30 bucks. Each one is held into the valve body by a clip.

I like TransGo kits myself. Make sure all the valve body bolts go back where they came from! One bolt in the wrong spot can cause all sorts of problems...it isn't fun
Lesson learned.

Yeah ive never done one myself. My dad has though. I may take the trans out to do it. I know I need to put a new rear main seal on the motor so it may just be the time to do it all.

Ok so I finally replaced the solenoids and still nothing. Im startung to believe the trans is in limp mode. But I have looked everywhere and can not find a simple wiring diagram to figure out a 12v source.
