  • Help please....T Top's leaking

Hey everyone, on this 97 Camaro i just got i noticed a small puddle of water in the rear floor board on the passenger side. Can anyone please tell me if there is anyway to stop this? I removed the t top panel and did not see any cuts or breaks in the seal anywhere....Anyone have any solutions or ideas how i can get this stopped until i get the seal replaced, i dont have a garage so im outside. Thought about just putting a plastic bag over it but have no idea how to fasten it to the car.
    Thanks,
    Stephen

Maybe a nice heavy fitted cover ? Maybe try some silicone to revitalize the weatherstrips ? your for sure leaking around the t-top and not the back edge of the glass ??

        Is the window adjusted correctly?

Im guessing it had new window motors put in and they didn't get the window adjusted correctly.

Theres approximately five adjustments to the window behind the door panel. Like Nate said, if the seal looks good, then theres about 95% chance thats your problem.

Pull out the interior and get some colored water made up, use a spray bottle and some air from a compressor (light psi) and see if you can get an idea where its coming from. The other thing to do is grab a dollar bill and shut it in the glass and weather strip and it should have some resistance to it when moving it. I have also used leak trace powder but why spend the money lol

now that u mention it, the drivers side window is kind of bowed out right at the back side where it meets up with the sail panel....wonder what causes the bow?
                Thanks,

would that be something i could visually tell if it wasnt correct? if so, what would i look for?
                  Thanks,

Have someone spray around the window with you in it. Try the dollar bill trick before you spray it down. That way you can narrow it all down

The glass on the 4th gens simply lays on top of the rubber seal, all all areas. There is no lip that it fits into like the mustangs and 5th gen but it just lays on.

You shouldn't have any area on the permitter of the glass that doesn't lightly tough the seal.

Yes this exactly it for adjustment. You will just have to do alot of door opening and closing to get the glass 100% perfect and a beer doesnt hurt either
