  • is it worth doing?

hey everyone, just a quick question....on my stock 95 lt1, would i gain anything by having the intake and throttle body fully ported and polished? if so, what would the gain be approximately? also, what should i expect to pay to have this done roughly?
    Thanks,
    Stephen

I think this was already addressed in another one of your threads, in short, no. You can spend the money elsewhere with better results.

For future reference the Stock TB was tested at ~783cfm.
      52mm was tested as ~850cfm.

The MAF only flows ~719cfm without a screen.

The stock manifold is pretty damn good design. Unless you are extremely modified porting it won't do much for you.

As said in his other thread, you won't notice much with ported anything if your engine cannot use the additional air.
The best bang for the buck for thecar would be; rear end gears, torque conveter, and a good tune.
Start with the bolt ons before you worry about porting cylinder heads.
