Why do you think something is wrong? Having any symptoms?
Only thing I see is what looks to be an additional PCV valve in your passenger's side valve cover. Should just be a plastic elbow with no valve in it. Not sure if this would have any effect on anything noticeable. If I'm not mistaken, it's possible that would prevent the PCV system from working properly if it's preventing fresh air from being sucked into the crankcase.
edit: On second look, it looks like he may have eliminated the in-line coolant bleeder in one of the coolant hoses. It's the high point in the system and should be kept there.

Thanks Birdie...would that extra PCV valve cause high pressure in my oil pan etc? The reason i ask is because i keep leaking oil from my oil dipstick tube no matter how well i seal it?????Originally posted by birdie2000 View PostWhy do you think something is wrong? Having any symptoms?

Yes it possibly would. If that is in fact a PCV valve, replace it with the proper elbow without a valve and I bet you'll stop having a problem with that.

I was thinking earlier about your oil leak and thought you could possibly be pressurizing the crankcase.

Birdie, what does the "proper elbow" look like? My car was missing that so i just assumed it was for a PCV valve.Originally posted by birdie2000 View PostYes it possibly would. It's just a small elbow that fits in that hole. GM part # 12550625
Your PCV valve is on the driver's side of your intake manifold next to where the brake booster hooks up.
Also, that looks like the right grommet from what I remember, but if you need a new one the part # is 10088126 and if you want the proper molded hose from that elbow to the throttle body that tucks up out of the way it's part # 10128365Last edited by birdie2000; October 28th, 2013, 07:29 PM.

That also crossed my mind but I'd rather rule out any other simple/cheap possibility before I suggest that someone pulls their engine.Originally posted by mazakman View PostSounds like the ring's aren't sealing to good to me. Just my thoughts
I've been down that road. Knowing you have washed out rings is a really shitty feeling

But know that you say if was just rebuild has me wondering if maybe one of the cylinders didnt seal upDang...im gonna do a compression test on it tomorrow but it runs strong and does not smoke or burn any oil. Im hoping its just an PCV or something simple. Funny thing is i had no oil leak problems until i removed the dipstick tube to route a plug wire....???Originally posted by mazakman View PostBeen down that road myself to.Thanks,
