  • Just installed my new Nitto NT05R's!

These things hook! I've had the 555r's before and could still spin them through first depending on the road temp. and what not. I can not spin these! Period. My car runs about a mid 12 1/4mile. I let the clutch out at about 4500-4600rpm on the street and i shot like a rocket. no spin at all. THere is no way I'm spinning at the track. At the most, it may require a 1/2 second of spin to get them sticky, but nothing major. I used to spin those 555's for 3-4 sec. to get them to hook, and they'd still break loose sometimes. Very happy with my purchase, and would definitely recommend these tires. I can't see them being any different than an ET street, but much cheaper.

Nothing too much. Full bolt on car. Long tubes, ORY, MSd 2 step, poly motor mounts, LCA's, SFC's, Full suspension upgrade(KYB's with Sportlines), minor headwork, cam, 1.6rr's, nothing major. Deleted all HVAC, pulled the front sway bar, and it has a PCMforless tune. When this car was bone stock it hit a 13.6. I was rather impressed. It was just always faster than other stock LT1's. 12.6 is my best ever. On average, it's about a 12.8-12.7 depending on the day. My 60ft. is about a 1.9-2.0, but that was before the tires and suspension. Should be around a 1.7 now, im hoping. Haven't been to the track yet this year.
