Pull the parking brake up just 1 click. The brakes wont drag, but it disables all the exterior lights on the car. Then just turn the lights on with the switch.

ive tried this and it does not work... during the day they r off but once the sun starts to set they come on and as long as the key is in the run position the headlights stay on... is there a DRL relay i can try pullin out or somethin?

Yes there is a way or too. Let me find it. I also have a 98 and the parking brake trick doesn't work for me either.

Gotta pull the parking brake up one click before you even turn the car on. If that doesn't satisfy you then look up free mods on ls1tech and there should be a writeup

What Kyle said. You must have your ebrake a click up before you turn the car on.

you can't start it then click it up.

I haven't tried this with (or even looked) on my 98, but my 00 Jimmy has a "Dome Overide" button. Hitting it four times would disable DRL.

I went out there and looked, no fancy dome overide button

Bookmarked that link, won't be hard to add some toggles to disable DRL's and the auto on lights
