  • Poly or OE bushings?

I hope there's not already a thread for this but I'm looking to see what bushing types you guys use. Because I have read a bunch of stuff having different opinions on poly or OE rubber bushings. I know some parts of the suspension absolutely should not use poly like control arms do to they bind. Right now I drive mostly street. I need to replace most of my bushings. What's everyone's thoughts on bushing materials?

What bushings are you refering to?
    What are you goals?
    Do you mind NVH?

Well for sure I need to replace the sway bar and control arm bushings. But mostly I wanted to see for future reference what would be best. My goals suspension wise are good cornering with still decent ride quality, if possible. Also I'm not sure I've only looked into poly and OE rubber.

You really wont feel much difference at all on sway bars but if you do use poly bushings make sure you grease it well and install grease fittings in the caps. They will make a lot of ugly noise if you dont!

          Re: Poly or OE bushings?

You shouldn't have any binding issues with poly sway bar bushings.

So would it be less effort to use OE then. What about poly trans and engine mounts? Any good?

I've got poly mounts and bushings all over and IMHO so far so good.

I only use OE rubber in front control arms.
