Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

Well, we are half way there. Rears are in, fronts were a bit more of a *****.. the struts wouldn't come out of the strut mounts, so now I am waiting on my KYB AGX's and new sway bar links (3/4 broke).
The driver's side bolt on the OEM panhard was a total ***** to get out! That took longer than the rest combined!
What springs did you go with? I'm thinking about using my Eibach lowering springs on the '94, but with the same shocks you have (already have fronts, need to get my hands on rear shocks yet)
Can't wait to see pics! Any other goodies planned for the handling side of things? Should be a sweet ride, with the fresh paint and suspension upgrades!
I picked up a set of Eibach sportlines on Kijiji (craigslist for canada) for $125. So while THEY were a great deal, I am still going to spend another $400 or so on shocks.
Ah well...this will end the upgrades for this year. Barring a lottery win anyway.
We got the rears done on Saturday, after much screwing around with the drivers side bolt on the panhard bar, we eventually just cut the head off and drove the bolt through. It was seized in the bushing and we had to use the impact hammer to drive it through.
The rest of the rears was VERY easy. Undo the bottom shock bolt, lower the rear axle, and the springs pulled right out. Install new ones, bolt everything back up and it's done. Except for the links of course, I am picking them up this afternoon.
Rear spring comparison:
Fronts were another story altogether.
After breaking both sway bar links, we undid the upper ball joint, undid the bottom shock bolts, undid the top strut mount bolts, they pulled right out.
Only to find that the top nut on the shock was so badly rusted that it is impossible to get them out of the strut mounts.
So, on Monday, I am getting KYB AGX's for the front, along with new mounts. Yippee.
This will successfully eliminate the rest of my upgrade budget for a long while....wife is getting VERY grumpy...
3rd Gens do, they have McPherson Struts.
4th Gens have Coil overs in the front with a Short Long Arm Suspension.
Looks good. I just dropped the de carbons in the rear out last night. All ready to put the new ones in.
The fronts, I need to get the old coilovers out and get the new ones in.
