  • LTxTech Tune Database

I just posted this over on LTxTech.com and wanted to share it over here -- the idea is to create an "open source" (if you will) database of readily available tunes for folks to grab and tweak. With programs like TunerPro RT there's a lot of people jumping into the tuning space for their basic heads/cam builds. While we don't want to take business away from professional tuners, we realize there's a bunch of people interested in finding a collective source of tunes. So here it is!

Now that you went and posted this, I have to break out the ALDL cable and install TunerCATS on my laptop. . . Dammit B, I was hoping to have at least a few more months before I was tempted to start screwing around with the tune. LMAO

Thanks for the link though, I think that's really going to help me figure things out. I've been ding some reading over the last few months, I have a basic understanding of what fields to change to accomplish certain things, but it'll be a while (and lots of trial-and-error) before I know enough to really dive into it.

It's all good. It's all hosted on the same server, but it just "makes sense" for it to be hosted on LTxTech.

That said if anyone wants to share their own tunes (key words: THEIR OWN, no proprietary tunes, no commercial tunes, no paid-for tunes, etc) then feel free to let me know and I can add them to the database.

What a great idea. Seems like this would have happened years ago.

Cars like mine (hot cam/ non ported heads) could be "tuned" by anyone that can download the file and install the software on the PCM.

Some of these off the shelf cams shouldnt need a custom tune every time.

If u never did it before... Make sure the laptop has constant power... Turn off ant viris and internet access and if u think ur laptop is infected...dont use it.

We destroyed so many pcms because my ol old old tuner used to use his porn laptop... With wifi on...and in the moddlebof upload or down load...it would start pop ups...
