    alright after being laid up in the house for 2 weeks with pneumonia i finally hobbled out to the garage to put my sutff on that came in the mail.... now my ? is i replaced the throttle body plate with a new one but the old gasket that i took off (factory) it was like a gasket with a rubber pouch in it lol weird my new one just came with the plate and the gasket so i just replaced it and removed all the old shit....i could not start it take make sure of no vacuum leaks because my kids are sleeping but does anyone know y the stock one is like that and my new one is just the gasket and does it matter?

    I cannot explain why the stock one has that little pouch in it.
    I do know my aftermarket one has the cork one and it seems to seal fine

      ok cool i mean there is no reason it should not seal it just blew my mind im like WTF is this there was some grease and what not in there to but i just left it assuming its supposed to be there?

        Yup for some reason the factory gasket is that rubbery pouch thing but the replacements are always just paper/cork and they work fine for sealing.
