  • Parts List...

Alright I am going to do some spending and need some ideas for some stuff.
I have my rear end being shipping in a little over a week.
So I will need some parts to complement the new rear end.
Heres what I am thinking about.

    • Torque Arm and Driveshaft Loop
    http://www.spohn.net/shop/1993-1997-...rs-Y-Pipe.html
I am looking at this one because it includes a driveshaft loop on the cross brace, so 2 birds with one stone.

    • Wheels for Slicks and Training wheels
    http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wl...b25a/overview/
    Thinking these for the fronts.
    http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wl...b75a/overview/
    These for the rears.
    Will these work?

    • Slicks
    • Skinnies (Training Wheels)
I have no idea what to run for these?

    • Harnesses
    http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rci-9210cd/overview/
Wrap around so I don't have to weld tabs on my powder coated roll cage.

    • Seats
    • Clutch
Toss up between a Stage 3 or Stage 4 Spec clutch. Someone help me on this decision?

    • Shocks
Also have no idea what shocks to run? BMR directed me to Strange Shocks, UMI said QA1s or Viking Coilovers.

    • Bell Housing
    http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mc...make/chevrolet
This as the Quicktime is 12lbs lighter but also 130 bucks more.

If I have money left over for these things....

    Cam
    • AI probably either the 226/234 (Joels) or the 230/238.

    Nitrous
    • Have already talked to Jonny about a NX Setup and Accessory Kit.

So if anyone has recommendations or suggestions shoot them at me.

-Careful with the driveshaft loop, I almost guarantee that one would interfere with your duals.

-6LE seats are nice, but consider Summit sports seats for about $200 less (what I and Sean have).

-226/234 is a GREAT cam for making power without threatening the opti or bottom end too much. The 230/238 is a larger version of the same grind so probably a little more risky but sure to make good power. If youre using stock heads and an intake elbow, you will probably get more usable power out of the 226/234. My advice is never choose a cam based on heads youre getting later. Match it now or Match it later. Mismatching parts in interim = car runs like crap = frustrated TJ = the hell with adding ported heads, 95 Z28 for sale. Keep in mind, even the smaller cam will benefit from heads, but wont hurt to run on stock ones.

I am thinking of ditching the duals and either running just turn downs off the headers, or some header mufflers, or possibly no crossover just cut outs and straight back to the axle.

Have a picture of the seats? How was mounting them? I talked to Mark at 6LE and they are running 20% off until the end of the month, so 500 out the door, they are also direct bolt ins he said at the factory height.

      Seats I am assuming?
      The 6LE are track legal.

Cam, I will only run this cam in this engine. When I build the block laying in my garage I am pretty sure I will be going a SR setup.
So this engine won't be getting heads, it will be stock heads on this engine currently in the car.

The 6LE seats will require you to make the same adapters that the summit seats will. At least Im quite sure these are the same seats Michael was talking about doing this with in his build thread. I have pictures of my seats in my thread, but youll have to page back to find them.

For stock heads I would for sure recommend the 226/234... really that cam is about all you need to take your heads and intake to their full potential. A larger cam isnt going to benefit much, and if it does it will be significantly more stress on various parts (higher RPM) for insignificant power gain.

No the ones Mike posted on where the BASIC seats, which are not track legal and do not come with brackets. Mark said the ones I posted above have the bracket to bolt right in, which is the difference between those seats and the BASIC. The BASIC are not track legal and do not have a bracket which is why they are 400 compared to 500.
          ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

          Mark:
They are with our brackets. Yup, sale till Feb 28th Just enter code REFUND when you check out

          Mark

          Me:

Are the 6LE direct bolt ins?
I have a cage going in so I don't need the seat to tilt.
Also heard you are having a 20% off sale this month. Is that true?

          Mark:

What modification are you referring to? Also, the difference is 6LE are race legal, BASIC are not. BUT Basic are better if you have people who get in and out of the back because they have a quick release to tilt forward (which makes them race illegal)...

          Email between me and Mark.

Changed my mind on the Torque Arm. Spohns have been breaking welds.

            http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=212

Does anyone know if a 4" rim with 2.5" backspacing will work on the fronts?

            Backspace on a 9" rim?

So will that bell housing work?
I don't want to lose my feet.

What clutch should I run? The 3, 3+, or 4?

              What front runners?
