  • Looking at getting a 4th gen camaro and need some help

Im looking at a 4th gen camaro 3.4l with a 5 speed and i talked to this guy about it and he states it needs a starter and a battery. I was wondering if a 3rd gen starter from my camaro would fit it and be able to make it work with that for the ride home or do i have to get a whole new starter? Also why would the starter and battery go out if the alternator was charging the battery? Its a cheap 4th gen and Im just looking for a daily driver. What would be an easy way of fixing it for the ride home?

When the rear end's loose, the car's fast. Loose is fast, and on the edge you're out of control.

Third gen v8 starter will not work. V6 starter will though (2.8L, 3.1L, 3.4L)

Manual and auto starters have different snouts, at least on the v8.

    Starters fail, batteries get old.

You don't even need a battery to roll start it I don't think lol just turn they key over and roll it, best way to do it is in reverse

Do yourself a favor, and do not get a 3.4
