  • Window regulator question

So I am undoing that brilliant crank window conversion brain child of mine, and now im faced with the task of re-assembling the power regulator. Apparently im in for a little more than i bargained for because the spring that was on the power window regulator came off when I removed it x number of years ago. Does anyone know how much tension needs to be on that spring? And what would be a safe method of doing it? Does the window motor hold it in place once its loaded?

Anyone have any ideas on this id appreciate it. Most things you can figure out by experimenting, but I don't want to lose an eye if I dont have to

Setting the spring is easy I just don't know how to explain it but Darren and I could come up and I can show you how surprise Darren doesn't remember how to do the spring he almost lost a finger when he removed the screw driver

That would be much appreciated! Or if it can be done with the regulator outside the car i can bring it to you also.
