  • Thinking about an interior.....

Don't want to go nuts, but want to make a few changes over the winter. Not thinking cage or roll but not out of the question. Might delete rear seats and focus on cockpit.....front seats and gage cluster. Considered stereo, but wants the point?

    Thoughts?

Seeing as you have a money tree and all... Recaro seats & MOMO steering wheel. waaAAY nicer wheels than the Grant ones most people install in these cars. I love the one I have.

If I was in your situation I would do some 6LE seats with houndstooth, 200mph 6LE/Mcnord gauges(not cheap but its the little details as you have already shown), convert all LED's to blue(including speedometer), pro 5.0, Lou's short stick, upgrade door still plates. Other then that I would leave your interior fairly stock because if its brand new condition.

You could always get a nice premium black carpet with more of a plush feeling, too. That's one of the things on my "todo" list is to swap out my maroon carpet and get black.

Lots of good options but for the love of God don't put any damn autometer gauges in it.

Good suggestions guys....couple things I didn't consider so thanks.

                        At the minute:

                        1. Recaro is a front runners for seats, deleting the rear.
                        2. New carpet would be really nice (black)....might make the rear delete look a little cleaner too
                        3. Steering wheel, I didn't consider until mentioned. Will def look into something....
                        4. Gage's will not be McNord. Hate the font. Would still like it to appear "stockish" with a few subtleties....different background, 200mph, etc. Though I'm kinda diggin the cluster idea. Not sure about LED's though....
                        5. Dynamat will be mandatory. It's a little loud inside
                        6. Still like the stock shifter and knob....maybe an MGW, jury is still out.
                        7. No idea where to start or talk to for a sound system....any help with contacts would be great.

You can customize the McNord gauges all day long to your hearts content - you can even do a smiley face for a full tank of gas and a frowning face for an empty tank of gas... He can do whatever you want, so I would think changing the font is going to be simple.

If you really want to quiet the interior down forget the Dynamat and look into Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV).
