Well ran my best time at milan 13.62 @101, 1.9 60' . With a trunk full of shit and tires @25# cold check. If you run faster than 13.49 in a ragtop you must have a 6 point bar right now I am .13 from that probly empty the trunk and drop air pressure and be real close .They ask me wed. what time I was planning to run. Go faster and get the boot or leave it at what it is. I also pick up a virgin lt4 gm intake now looking the same for a lt4 gm head.

It doesn't sound like you take it to the strip thaaat often. I wouldn't ruin that car with a 6-point. Slap some more power on and enjoy it on the street!

I'd just leave it Pete. If your running a 13.3 in a vert I doubt they would even boot you.

          I agree with Fred,

Small convertible race cars looks cool with roll cages, I am referring to Miata, Triumph's, Healey's etc. IMO a convertible camaro with a roll cage looks silly.

my friend has a roll cage in his nitrous 355 convertible ss. it looks pretty good. i think it helps the look of a convertible.

Well a 6 point cage will make your car safer on the street also. Guess its a matter of speed verses looks. LOL

you may think so but I feel thats up for debate. A member of yellowbullet died earlier this year driving his caged car on the street, he was in an accident and supposedly his head hit one of the bars, he died days later.

Wonder what he had for a cage? My wolfe 6pnt would be pretty hard to hit your head anywhere

had to be unbelted. think about it, if the cage wasn't there he would have hit his head pretty hard on something else. Hard to blame the cage.

It was more than likely a 10 point where you actually have overhead bars. No ones getting hurt on a little 6 point.

That funny I know of a guy that used pvc and got away with it. Jill said no roll bars at all,I would have a heck of a time getting in and out. I am old and heavy and the bones don't much anymore. Even though I lost 50# still need 50# more. Just add it to my bucket list. My luck the tech guy would have a magnet to check the bars.
