Just doing some day dreaming before work and found this link on eBay.

It appears this system goes below the axle...is that even ok to do?

It appears it comes up over the axle judging by the full system picture.

Hmm, id have to disagree. Looks like an under the axle setup to me.

Nate, yes it can be done... No not a good idea in my opinion. Itll be an annoyance everytime you jack the car up

Yeah I think you're right. Looking at it more, the pipe should come up more sharply than it does in that pic... Looks like it's only a 45* angle and it should be more like a 70* angle if it were coming up over the axle.

the under axle exhaust will technically work, but from behind the car it looks like a$$.
When in doubt, Whip it out !

Id love to order this full system and see how it fits to do a review. Can't see it fitting very well though.

Maybe that's why the kooks system is so expensive, it fits.

This style of exhaust has been done many times on tech already... So theres plenty of review material already out there.

                Im mean this exact system/vendor.

My headers are clones of kooks and we both know they don't fit the same. Anything from eBay is a chance IMO.

Imo anything going under the axle is going to suffer the same pitfalls. Its not like there is a spot on the axle that the pipes will clear best. Being the nature of an axle, Its pretty much just horizontal all the way across

For your lowered car i could see it working but not with a pre-fabbed system which would have to hang low enough to accomodate a stock height axle.

Pretty sure Id have to get either a custom made setup or a heavily modified mass produced setup that gets customized.

Going under the axle is an uber FAIL....the "neck" that came up with that idea was never lowered, didnt care how it looked and never lifted their car off the ground. Dont do it....

As far as Kooks' system....their "new" 4th gen stuff is supposed to fit better than the early systems. I'm living proof. Part of mine was just sent down there

Agreed. The fact that someone decided to produce it as a "working" kit doesnt make it any less terrible IMO.
