Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

this is with no serpentine belt or ac belt at idle. noise kinda goes away in gear and giving some throttle but still there. doesnt do it cold. some guys are saying flexplate and another is scaring the shit out of me saying thrust bearing. sorry for the shitty video from my android. cant believe how badly it takes videos
hmm. i have heard that noise a few times. since it has good oil pressure I think is a lifter roller. I have seen this more and more lately. no explanation. I blame it on the lack of zinc in todays oils
Have you listened to the oil pan with a sethoscope or extension? Try pulling the plug wires one at a time to see if you can narrow it down to one cylinder.
no i havent tried that. cant really tell where exactly its coming from. dont want to wipe out a lobe either. this cam is for sale. im sure the lsk lobe on this comp cam are the culprit
Well we dropped the ls2 today and pulled the heads and cam. Valvetrain was good, cam was as good as it was when installed, but it does seem that a valve hit the #6 piston. Didnt get to the bottom end due to dustin being sick so we dont know if a wristpin or bearing is the culprit, or if the cam is just too freakin big. Valve looked fine but will have to be checked. Anyone wanna buy a. 657 lift comp cam???
That's weird. Same pan/ pickup? Gonna use them on the new setup? I would measure the pan to pickup clearance .
did the other have marks in the pistons . Wonder if the piston hit first and when it did , it was enough to go thru the oil film and bearing hit the crank. What oil do you use
