(speaking from 3rd gen knowledge) the K members are the same, the mounts are different. If I recall correctly there is multiple sets of holes on the K Member for the different motors.Originally posted by ROUDAI need to know if the k-member on a v6 is the same as a v8 and or if the motor mounts are different how do you change the v6 mounts to hold a lt1.
Correct me if I'm wrong anybody.
O Rly? Why did they do it that way? Seems like it would have been cheaper to use one K Member on all the cars and just change the mounting positionOriginally posted by 97rs4lifethey are different, not similar at all. You looking for a lightweight tubular one or something?

I am going from a stock 3.4 v6 k-member to an lt1 kmember cause I an doing the lt1 swap in the car and I am just getting the k-member off the lt1 and useing all the other parts off the v6 such as spindles and brakes rotors , but if I dont have to do anything besides switch the mounts it would be easier than putting everything on the v6 k-member to the lt1 k-member.
