Just to get the discussion rolling, ill copy what i said on facebook. I think monroes are probably a good option for you. (like fred has) Bilsteins for more performance and a bigger budget.

what would be better than wore out shocks that destroy your tires among other things? ANY new dampner is better than a wore out one. I say buy the cheapest ones you can find, you will LIKELY need the extra money for mounts in front.

I agree brian however never under any circumstance would i put a set of decarbons on an fbody. Id try an autozone special before another set of decarbons.

Either one of those options will be fine, talking rear shocks right?

You can get a set of Monroe rear shocks for around $25 shipped on RockAuto.com. Give them a shot, you can get fronts cheaper than in an auto parts store too, probably get new front mounts from them also.

The auto zone ones or similar ones from other auto parts stores are fine. I have a set of those on both my Blazer and Jimmy and they are perfect, much better over stock and ride great IMO.

To second Jon, if you want we can put them on for you, will literally take 30 minutes if that.
