  • LT1 Tuner near Farmington?

I'm looking to get my car back together and tuned before the WWDC. Anybody have any recommendations? I'm located in Farmington Hills.

I wonder if that's who did the nitrous kit and tune for a guy out on Woodward. He said his LT1 made 390 on the dyno with a 100 shot of nitrous.

So do you know anything else about their operation? Would they be worth considering?

Rich is a great tuner, not too many guys dealing with LT1 cars these days thats the only problem. If they will tune it I would recommend them/

              ^ What he said.

They do top notch work. The only downside(If there was a downside) is your going to pay for it.

Rich did my car after I did the engine mods. Great guy to work with. Very knowledgeable. They usually have some very high-end cars in there.

Motor City Speed hasn't been very prompt getting back to me, so I think I should have a backup. Anybody have any other recommendations?

yeah, probably. I just prefer email, and I guess I'm just accustomed to people answering emails within 24 hours. If they don't email me back while I'm at work today I'll give them a call later.

I talked to Rich at Motor City Speed. He said a tune would be around $450, but the big thing is that he won't be able to get me in for another couple weeks (everybody else wants their tune done before the WWDC too). Will EGR and AIR being completely deleted make the car run worse without a tune? i.e., if it's back together and untuned, will it be running well enough to get to the Dream Cruise?

I got rid of EGR and AIR. Throws a code, but doesn't seem to affect anything negatively.

B told me that OBD2 cars (96+) won't run without EGR
