Well, I don't mean to brag, but I drove about 300 miles last weekend on a little over half a tank of gas. . . Seriously. I don't have cruise, so my average speed was anywhere between 65-90 on the Ohio turnpike. Probably about 5/8 of a tank. 3.4 V6 5 speed.Nick H.

i like to get to the speed limit quick.. that may play a role in it lolOriginally posted by GETGONEI thought you V6'ers were getting better than low/mid 20's in town. I pull down 21-22 with mine beating on it! Highway is around 26 but I rarely do all highway on a tank of gas. I've heard of guys getting like 38 on the highway with a V6 5 speed.-Derek-

geez, you 3.8l guys need to do a full tuneup and tune your cars, I make way better than most of ya and I don't putt around that much. When was the last time you all did full tuneups, injector cleaning, pcv valve replaced, oil and filter changed, fuel filter, spark plugs and wires, etc?------------------------------------------

So do I and I STILL pull down consistent 21-23mpg. I get on it to redline or speedlimit..which ever comes first then drop down to 5th or 6th. I can't remmeber what my 94 3.4's got. It's been 8-10 years ago since I owned them!Originally posted by redfbirdv6i like to get to the speed limit quick.. that may play a role in it lol

I'd like to chime in here. Even with my A4, and getting into it I avg, AVG 20 mpg. I've gotten as high as 24 mpg on long trips.

Is you Camaro a hybrid?Originally posted by Yargermeisterhigh 20's city high 30's highway....
That seems too good to be true. They are rated at 19/31. Give or take a few depending on the car and the driver.
I have a similar set up to you 01 camaro, 3.8, manual,80,000 miles and I just averaged just over 26 mpg 70 percent hwy 30% city and that was being pretty nice to it(new plugs, wires, air filter, fresh oil, inflated tires, alignment). My brother previous owner would average 28 mpg and he once got 34 mpg hwy driving up north. If you got High 30s (37-39) this would mean you could travel almost 500 miles on one tank of gas at 37mpg. Do you mean high teens city and high 20s hwy?
