Joel, I was searching forums when I went to buy a shifter for my car and my conclusion was this: you can't take others opinions, you have to either have to drive a car with an aftermarket shifter or guess. Everyones idea of what feels "comfortable" is going to be different. I found people saying my old B&M was the greatest shifter ever when reallly I thought it blew ass. I have a Pro 5.0 and it's whatever to me. I'd like to try something knew but at $150+ a pop it's hard.

That Hurst that Michael posted looks pretty cool, I may try that when I get some extra coin.

This also looks like an interesting design

Well im looking for a shorter throw which is pretty factual, rather than a certain feel. That hurst in the challenger had 1/3 the throw of my car with the same length handle. Thats what im looking for but something tells me its not possible with the style linkage we have.

The pivot point on that seems to be much higher on the core-shifters than the McLoed offset shifter, which sould allow you to have a longer stick yet still have a short throw...in my head anyway

Joel - the MGW and Hurst comp don't have stops - and there was a pretty big debate on LS1tech about a shifter needing or not needing stops on a T56.

I might try the Hurst for $125 - can't be worse than my stock shifter.....
