There are a lot of write ups on doing this. Just make sure you do the front and rear seal correctly. If you don't delete the egr, it's also good to wrap some heat tape on the egr tube to prevent it from melting the gasket in the future. The first time I did mine, I let the car sit for a full day before I started the engine to make sure everything had time to seal properly. Be careful when you put the intake back on you don't scrape off the gasket in the rear too. Good luck!

Best tip is get all the old RTV off and clean both the block and the intake very good. Be sure to get High temp RTV.

alright thanks guys! I got it done n made sure not to mess up the RTV, i cleaned it up pretty good to where u couldnt see/feel any of the old rtv or gasket material. I got it all back together but i think i might of crossed two of my vacuum lines or something because the car is idling about 2-300 rpm higher than it was before...

Could be a few different reasons why it's idling higher now. Did you disconnect the battery while doing this?

yes i did... im guessin it maybe had to relearn the idle or somethin? After driving to work n back today its idling fine again right where it should've been. i checked all my vacuum hoses and sprayed carb clean all around the base of the intake n didnt hear the idle rise at all, but like i said drove to work today n took it for a spin on lunch n it was runnin fine again.

likely all the fuel trims were reset from disconnecting the battery
