When you go for the alignment, go to a Frame shop instead of a Belle Tire BS. I go to a frame shop for all of my alignments and front end work and have never been disappointed. Personally, I'd say its the rag joint. When in doubt, Whip it out !

Mine was the same way on my 96 and their was a part on the steering shaft going down to the rag joint that kept coming loose. I think there was another issue as well since I was never able to fully get ride of it. Was one reason I never really enjoyed my Formula since I could never really have fun in it due to the loose steering.
