  • Any ideas on why I have a loss of Power to my BCM?

Last season I changed my power window motor on the drivers side. Later that afternoon I went to go for a ride and had no power to my windows, hatch, trip meter, radio, or anything else controlled by the BCM. I thought a bit and checked where I thought the fuse would be and found no blown fuses. I ran a jumper wire from the fuse box to the stereo and hit the key and Voila! Trip meter was back so then I checked my hatch and tried the key fob, EVERYTHING worked! But I dont really like the cobble job I have with the jumper wire and am looking for some ideas where to start. I also developed this cool little problem where it seems like the engine loads up with fuel and will stall unless you mash the gas, the moment you let off it stalls out I used my buddies wal mart code scanner and am pulling codes for both downstream 02 sensors. I also have my emissions equipment removed and blocked off and am getting a code for that. Any help with leads on where to start would be great and I will be very grateful.
Here's a sig with my old ride: (Everyone else has a cool sig I had to do something!)

Have you checked fuses? also might have a ground not connected. No cancel that, the jumper wire would not have worked if bad grd. could also be the (RAP) module, that keeps everything working till you open door. That suppies + voltage to the fuse 17 and 7 and breaker to window units. all that is in fuse box under hood. If fuse 17 OK, measure fuse socket for 12 V with fuse out. flow from there. You'll need wire diagram.

Is it possible that a BCM could cause your car not to run? I recently replaced my dash and now that it's back together, the car doesn't want to stay running.. and the parking lights won't shut off unless I disconnect the batt. I also removed the EGR. It will idle for however long, but once i start moving it dies within seconds. Could this be the BCM? EGR? This is driving me crazy and I need some answers!!! Dont mean to hi-hack your thread

Like Larry said check all of the fuses. Both inside and underhood fuse panels.
