  • EGR Deleted! HVAC plate installed. Pics and ?'s Please look.

I recently took my dash off to delete all the hvac, and finished it today. In the process, I also deleted my EGR system. I figured I'd put the pics up of this process and also had some questions.
These first two pics are just the shots of the system removed.

And these are the parts I removed. The first is the pipe going from intake to exhaust manifold.

This is the EGR solenoid that connects to the top of the Intake, which is what plugs in to the clip in the second pic.

And here is the EGR itself.

Now is there anything else that I can remove since doing this?? I capped off the vacuum port on the manifold once taking the solenoid off. Obviously the block off plates are installed. Are there any other lines that can go now?

Here are a few shots of the HVAC system removed which weighed a ton! Cleans up the engine BIGTIME. and makes rear header and spark plug access way easier. Super glad I did this.

The last Three manifold bolts were finger loose! Never would have caught it had it not been for doing this! Super easy to get to too! The rest of the holes in the delete plate will be plugged tonight. Just saving someone the time from having to warn me about fumes getting in if left unattended

A couple of in car shots. Yes the dash install will be hell lol

So that's it. My main reason for posting this was to show what i removed exactly and for anyone to point out anything I am forgetting. Thanks for looking guys.. and girls, and let me know what I'm missing!!

That looks like a PITA part, as long as you dont end up with extra fasterners and such

AFAIK you have it all covered for the EGR. Don't be surprised if the SES light comes on unless of course you have tuned the EGR out of the PCM.

          It IS a 96.
I dont have the Egr tuned out yet. Going to throw headers on first and then get the tune. Need some long tubes if any one has any. Pry gonna go with pacesetters if not.
