I got my car back together and I tried to set valve last with it off didn't work. Can't seem to get it to work with the engine idling. Anyone wanna come over and help me for some beer?

go to shbox.com there is a proceedure on there to set valve lash. You need a light touch to feel drag on pushrods.sigpic
1998 Trans Am Convertible A4 - WS6 hood, WS6 air lid, WS6 rims, drilled/slotted rotors.

I go in the firing order and set them with the motor off. I usually crank the car or runn it for a minute to pump the lifters up. I tighten each one till you can't turn the push rod by hand then tighten 1/4 turn after that.
Ive always done it this way on hydralic cams and it's always worked perfectly.
Just gotta make sure the lifter is all the way down on the cam and not in lift.
If you werent so far away I would come help ya but you're a hike for me.

I'm pretty sure I got it. I don't hear any audible noise so I took her for a spin. I will probably double check though before going out again.
