yep, LS1 and LS6 heads are interchangable. the patriot heads are not that great though. i have them. with my thunder racing cam, i lost 5 hp when i put the heads on. the patriot valves are not that great. i replaced mine with Ferrea and that seemed to help some.
they're working pretty good with my new cam though!1998 Camaro SS Bullseye Turbo

ok cool the ls6 heads will fit, the kit comes with stage 2 heads the valve have a five angle valve job, the heads boost compression up to 11:1 and come with a matched to the heads cam, and coms with roller rockers. I would lose hp from my basicly stock 335 hp? the kit is like $1750 i havent seen a better deal? im open to sugestions thoughA convoy of imports= Alot of unessary noise

it all depends on what cam you get..most cams work well with aftermarket or ported heads. although my thunder cam liked my stock heads better

yeah, no way are you going to make 500 with a stock cubed LS1. 450ish seems to be the most anyone gets out of head/cam LS1's....i've seen some people on LS1tech with some wild ass H/C setups hit 480...but that's like way up there.
if you want over 400 at the wheels, you're gonna need a decent sized cam and some good heads.
i put down 421 with my no so hot patriot heads and a nice sized cam from Sean@CARS. now my fuel system is maxed out and i need to get a big 'ol pump, injectors, rails and all that fancy stuff.
i agree with Zspot...with 420 at the wheels, you should be plenty happy for a while1998 Camaro SS Bullseye Turbo

Yep like everyone else said 500 with stock cubes is near impossible. Those heads mated with a larger cam, like mine or Matts should get you great numbers though and be plenty for the street.Doing less with more

500 hp wanted??? Time to get blown! lol I'm pushin the procharger hard!
Good luck whichever route you decide. There are many many resources available online such as ls1tech to answer LOTS of questions. But we can handle a lot here too
