headlight alignment

When i am driving at night my headlights point in an uneven direction and i feel they are pointed down too much.

Can someone take a close measurements on a flat surface toward a garage door or something. Please include how far back you are from the wall and how far up is the main area of light amd how far away is the light for the opposite head light.

This is for a 2001 camaro. My brother (previous owner) had an accident with it and they had to replace both fenders.... and they must have forgotten to align the headlights. Pleas do not send me a link for the advance auto link as it is useless. I got a printout from a guy at the dealer but it still not very clear. I just need a general idea.

just park your car about 20 feet or so from your garage door, and align both light beams equally about 2 feet or so up the garage door. then go drive around some. make adjustments from there whether your lights are now aiming at the street lamps, or still at the ground. that's what i always do...

Too bad your headlights dont have the built in levels like the AWESOME LT-1's do LOL . Then again your dont have really gay sealed beams so I should probably shut up.

ive had to change mine several times due to having a bunch of weight in the back in the winter, i have mine aimed wayyy high right now so i can see the road nice, they were super low before, id only put your car like 10 feet away tho, that way you can see the light beam more directly, at least i could, when you turn the screw a bit then go over and do the other oen then test on the road like they said, pry the easiest way to do it.

Who uses headlights anyway? Get yourself some nightvision goggles, that's the way to go.

My brights are all screwed and shine wierd, so I usually just use the low beams all the time. I have seperate lamps on mine so more adjustments to make.


Also my dimmer switch is on the floor. Last year of it. Thought I'd mention it cuz it's really a cool feature. Much easier to step on a button, then to push a lever foward.
