Alright I don't know how do you tell if your car is an OBD I or II set up. All info about my car is in my sig. The reason I ask I want to buy a tuner to see what my car is doing and log it so I can go over how it is performing through out my runs on the strip and every day driving. Any help would great. Thanks

I think it's an OBDI, the OBDII switch in GM cars was in 1995, so you probably are OBDI. Unless they changed the V8 F-Bodies to OBDII a year early, I'm not really sure. Somebody else can tell you for sure, or you can look under the dash at the OBD port and tell by the shape. The OBDI port is more square, while the OBDII port is like a round-cornered trapezoid. Thanks for the info every one. Crap for me tho whish it was a II be cool to be able to read all the sensors and temps. Has anyone ever done a change from a I to a II? Can this be done?Originally posted by KuruptWS6spdI'm young, speed matters.....

I've heard of doing an OBD-I to OBDII switch, but you have to do a lot of rewiring, and add new sensors in that your car hasn't been equiped for.- Brian Meissen

ive heard of switches from 2 to 1 but i dont know about 1 to 2. sounds like a bit of a pain. youll need new sensors in places you dont have spots for sensors and itll be pretty expensive. and youll defintely get a massive headache. obdI is a good thing. you can do a lot of stuff to it before you piss it off. obdII will hit the ses light if you look at it wrong

K thanks for the info every one ya I think I'll just stay with the OBD I setup. Ya the cat remove was not done by me. The older guy I bought it from let his son talk him into that+ the flowmaster cat. back welded a strait pipe where the cat was. Flowmaster good
cat. remove bad
. Hated him self after words because there used to be chrome tips on the car but after that they got covered in black crap. Awhile later he took them off and just put what I think are just a stainless steel set on there. One of the soon to come mods is a hole new exhaust set up hopfuly. Just as soon as I can take care of some of my college bills.
